  6/20 Congratulations to Cameron for passing his Board of Review for 1st Class last night.
  5/29 Congratulations to Jared F., Seth F., and Mr. Dansfield on completing there Ordeal and becoming Arrowmen in the Order of the Arrow.
  5/24 Nick P and Zach O will be attending the week long Junior Leader Training (JLT or BrownSea as it is also called) the last week in July.
  5/24 The Venture Crew will not be meeting through the summer.  We are going to give it a rest and start it up again when school starts.

  10/24/2005 Anyone interested in working on the archery, shotgun, or rifle Merit Badges see Mr. Dansfield.  There are regular activities at the Sportsman's club that can go toward these merit badges.
    At either the next meeting or the one after that there will be an Order of the Arrow election.

If you took the Motor Boating merit badge at camp this summer or are interested in working on this Mr. Dansfield will be conducting the The DNR safe boating course and Test.  Passing this course is one requirement of the Motor Boating Merit Badge.  This will probably be on a Saturday this Fall.  Let Mr. Dansfield know that you are interested in this and check back for details on when the class will be.

This year was probably one of the better Brat Fry's.  Thank you to all who helped to make it happen.   The boys worked almost 120 hours.  As soon as The numbers are totaled we will let the boys know how much their accounts will be credited for.  Use this link Brat Fry Photos  to check out some photo's.

  8/28/2005 The Theme for the Court of Honor is "Video Games Though Out the  Ages".   Plan your skits and activities accordingly,  Mrs. Roegner is counting on you.

Important 8/22/2005 Be thinking of events you might want to have for next year.  It's ok to do some of your favorites from past years but we need some new idea's as well.  Especially think of a large trip we can use to replace the spring trip to Dorchester.  With the new travel requirements we will not be able to participate at Dorchester anymore.

  8/16/2005 Hard copies of the Brat Fry work schedule and instructions are being distributed, please see Mr. Sawyer if you have not received yours.  There are also links on the home page to these documents.
  8/16/2005 Troop Guide books are being distributed to the boys.  Please make sure you get one of these from Mr. Sawyer.  Once you get it tape it into your scout book so you'll always have it.  This is also available on line here.
  8/9/2005 If you can help load up the trailer on Friday Sept 2nd please be at the church at 6:00 pm.  We might also be doing some set-up Friday at the Arboretum.
  8/9/2005 Due to September being a full month and the weather uncertainties in October the Adult outing will be in the Spring next year, probably in March.  More details will be posted as they are available.

  7/26/2005 Keep your calendar open for September 3rd and/or 4th for the brat fry.  A work schedule will be going home with the boys and be available online very soon.  This is a big fundraiser for the troop and also for the boys accounts as their accounts are credited for the hours worked, the amount per hour is determined buy how much profit is made.  Visit the Brat Fry page for more details.  Parents ~ we also need all the help we can get setting up at between 7:00-8:00 am and packing up at 5:00pm on Saturday.
  7/26/2005 The weather was unseasonably HOT for the Troops stay on Mackinaw this year.  Many are still trying to see the bridge swing over to the island.  Mr. P. assures everyone that this happens every night.  This link is to Jane Deaton's ( Troop 624) photos.  As photos from our Troop are available they will be added to our albums.
  7/26/2005 A good time was had by all at summer camp.  The boys earned many merit badges.  There are a few who only need a few requirements to finish.  Mr. Langlois will be making sure that everyone knows what they need to finish.

  6/13/2005 Thanksgiving Feast will be earlier than normal this year and be called the Fall Feast.  All the activities will be the same as in the past.  This year the feast will be at Camp Betz in Berrien Springs the week end of September 23rd.
